Foundation Flock
This is our foundation flock Three North Country Hill Cheviots.
They were breed on Skye and their father was from Armadale in the far North of Scotland.
We purchased them from Dingwall Market in 2005.
We named them Myran Creag-Mhor Sharon Creag-Mhor & Claire Creag-Mhor.
Myran Creag-Mhor took the title of overall Sheep Champion at Arisaig Road to the Isles Agricultural Show in 2007 and 2008.
It is the first time in the shows 12 years history that the title has been won by another breed other than a Black Face Sheep.
They lambed in 2007 our flock has increased with Myran one Tup Lamb Sharon one Ewe Lamb & Claire two twin ewes.
It's a start but already they are holding their own on the show circuit.
In 2008 Myran gave birth to a ewe we named her Chirsty.
Sharon had Twins male and female, we named them Nelly and Raff.
Raff later died inexplicably.
Claire had twins also male and female, we named them Katie & Rabbie.
